Pringles, Pups and a Packed Dance Floor

Kylie and Sam’s energetic Zonzo Estate wedding in the Yarra Valley, with dog-inspired favours, Sally Hughes and a packed dance floor.

Kylie & Sam in the defining frame of their wedding at Zonzo Estate

Before there was a wedding at Zonzo Estate, there was a dog walk. Kylie and Sam met while walking dogs of the same kind, which is a pretty solid beginning for a relationship—and, as it turned out, a fitting thread to carry into their wedding.

Their dogs made an appearance on the wedding favours, alongside the inevitable Pringles reference. Sam’s surname is Pringle, so the joke was always there waiting for them. It was a small detail with plenty of personality: a nod to how they met, and proof that Kylie and Sam weren’t about to take the formalities too seriously.

Held entirely on-site at Zonzo Estate in Yarra Glen, their Yarra Valley wedding had an easy rhythm to it. There was no need to shuttle people between locations or break the momentum; everyone could stay close to the action, and the energy had room to build naturally.

Humour, heart and the right kind of feeling

Celebrant Sally Hughes set the tone early with the balance she is known for: plenty of humour, without losing the weight of what was being said. Kylie and Sam remembered the ceremony as emotional, but never heavy. The feeling was genuine rather than overworked, with the focus firmly on the connection between them and the people who had gathered for them.

That distinction matters. Some ceremonies can become so intent on being meaningful that they leave no room for people to be themselves. This one apparently made space for both: real emotion, good laughs and the sort of warmth that comes when nobody feels they need to perform their feelings.

Kylie and Sam’s bridal party helped keep that mood moving. They were, in the couple’s words, “an absolute scream”—the kind of group that makes a wedding feel less like a tightly managed occasion and more like a very good gathering that happens to include a ceremony. Their energy kept things light and easy, without taking away from the moments that mattered.

A little chaos was always on the cards

Later, the wedding leaned further into the part of the day that suited this crew best: movement, laughter and very little interest in standing still for the sake of it.

The champagne spray was one of those moments. It became the kind of chaos Kylie and Sam wanted—loud, loose and full of laughter, with nobody trying to make it neater than it needed to be. For couples who worry that a wedding needs to feel polished at every turn, this was a useful reminder that some of the best energy comes from allowing a moment to be slightly unruly.

There was a similar feeling once the reception began. The opening set sent people straight to the dance floor; there was no cautious warm-up or gradual convincing required. Kylie and Sam remembered big reactions, high energy and a dance floor that never really stopped after that.

That says something about the room they created. People were ready to join in, ready to be silly, and ready to match the couple’s pace. It was not a night built around restraint.

The story underneath the party

What stands out about Kylie and Sam’s Zonzo Estate wedding is the consistency of it all. A chance meeting while walking dogs became a wedding favour joke. A ceremony held room for both tears and laughter. A champagne spray became gleeful disorder, and the dance floor started at full speed.

It was a wedding with plenty of feeling, but no stiffness around it—just Kylie and Sam’s people meeting them exactly where they were: funny, connected and very much up for a party.
